Unfortunately, their fairy tale run will not have the  storybook ending it deserves . Potentially t he NHL’s   most disliked team , t he Vegas Golden Knights, are  also a team of destiny with an unlikely playoff hero in Adin Hill who has emerged as a  starter and a C onn Smythe favourite. The Knights will win this serie s based on scheduling. As weird of a reason as it is, the Panthers had a ten-day layover in between the end of their round three matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes and game one of the Stanley C up F inals. We are here to give you a preview and predictions for who will be punching their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals.   Carolina Hurricanes vs Florida Panthers : Hurricanes win 4-2   Jaylynn Nash via Getty Images                T he Florida Panthers have taken down the 65-win Boston Bruins and the ultra- star powered Toronto Maple Leafs. Unfortunately, they have met their match . W ithout goal scoring forwards Max Pacioretty and Andrei Svechnikov , the Carolina Hurricanes were still able to score 24 goals in 5 games. They have the best defensive core left in this year's playoffs and a goaltender who has remained steady. The Panthers success hinges on Matthew Tkachuk’s ability to score goals and wear down defenders. Chicago Wins Bedard Sweepstakes in Controversial NHL Lottery

  Written by: Trey Kristensen | Published: May 9th, 2023 Dennis Pajot via Getty Images                   The NHL Draft lottery has come and passed but not without controversy.                The Chicago Blackhawks landed the #1 overall selection in the 2023 NHL Draft which will most likely be used to select generational prospect Connor Bedard. Bedard has lit up the WHL this season with the Regina Pats posting 71 goals and 72 assists in just 57 games. The Blackhawks look poised to begin another period of success behind Bedard.                The Anaheim Ducks, who had the best odds to land the #1 pick, will have to settle for #2 while the Columbus Blue Jackets landed #3. Some controversy arose around the Blue Jackets landing the 3rd pick, however.                     On the TV broadcast of the Draft Lottery the San Jose Sharks were announced to have the #4 overall pick. As the broadcast went to commercial break, the TV commentator announced that Columbus had received the #3 overall

Seattle Seahawks: A+ David Eulitt via Getty Images                     The Seahawks had one of the best possible drafts. Drafting the best cornerback and wide receiver in the draft is huge for a young and up and coming team like Seattle. Devon Witherspoon is an aggressive tackler and a great man to man corner, which is exactly what the Seahawks needed as they had tackling issues last season. Jaxon Smith Njigba provides a dynamic passing trio with Dk Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. He excels in contested catches and overall was the best receiver in the class.
